How To Pin Someone Else’s Tweet

Unfortunately, Twitter doesn’t allow you to pin someone else’s tweet directly while scrolling down your feed. You must first add it to your timeline. The process is as follows.

Launch the Twitter app on your smartphone or go to Twitter in your browser and log into your account.

1. Locate the tweet that you wish to pin on your profile. You can browse through the feed or use the search function.
2. Select the “Retweet” button at the bottom of the tweet you wish to pin. It would be best to use the “Quote Tweet” option and credit the original account to prevent copyright issues.
3. Now, go to your Twitter profile and locate the tweet.
4. Tap on the three-dot icon on the top-right corner of the tweet.
5. Click the “Pin to your profile” option from the open menu.
6. And that’s it! The tweet will appear as a pinned post on your profile. You or any other Twitter user can comment on it. If you prefer, you can extend it to a thread to include more details on the subject.
